RIO FERDINAND PRAISES LIVERPOOL FULL-BACK TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD

Rio Ferdinand believes that Liverpool have a gifted footballer on their books. The player is Trent-Alexander Arnold. He also says the England star is a brilliant player despite his recent struggles. The player has struggled defensively in recent matches. However, his long passing and crosses are still perfect and a joy to watch.

The point was also made by Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport. He said,

“We’re talking about a right-back. You never talked about right-backs before but they’re so important now,” said Ferdinand. “And he’s a ridiculously gifted footballer.

He also said,

“And listen, this kid is going to be a legend for Liverpool in the game for years to come. But there are areas in his game that he needs to tighten up but that’s part of being a footballer.

THE REDS DEFENSE WAS NOT UP TO THE MARK AGAINST AJAX

There was a time when the Reds’ defense was hard to break down. However, recently it is very easy. Many teams are easily exposing their defense. In the end, Allison has to keep the game alive by pulling off important saves. Hence, it has not been an easy season for the backline of Liverpool. Trent Alexander Arnold is also struggling in the backline.

It happened again as the Reds hosted Ajax yesterday night. The Dutch giants broke down Liverpool’s press. They also managed to create space on the right. The forwards also managed to get in behind Trent-Alexander Arnold. Hence, then came the inevitable goal against the run of play. However, Liverpool managed to win the game after a goal from Joel Matip.

Despite his struggles at the back, Trent managed to pull off some beautiful long passes to open up the game. Hence, this is what makes him an important player for Liverpool. No matter, what happens in the future, Trent is already a legend for the Reds. He has lifted every major trophy at the club level.
