Premier League’s final run of fixtures is here as the race for the title, as well as the top four is being fought fiercely. Tottenham Hotspur are battling for the a Champions League spot along with Arsenal. Five games are left for Spurs to clinch the fourth place. As a result, Harry Kane has made a mammoth demand for his teammates. The striker admitted that Spurs need to pick five wins out of five, to which Conte has different views.

Ahead of Tottenham’s game against Leicester, Kane urged his players to go all out and win the remaining fixtures. Spurs currently sit fifth in the table, two points behind their rivals Arsenal who occupy the fourth and last spot of Champions League. However, the North London is yet to be played, which could be the decider. Meanwhile, Kane gave the verdict that Tottenham are in no position of dropping points.

The Spurs striker said, “We’re running out of games in terms of dropping points. There are five games left and we feel like we are pretty much going to have to win all of them to get that spot. We are more than capable of doing that, we believe in that and that is what we’ll try and do”. But his boss Antonio Conte has other thoughts on Spurs probably winning the remaining five games.

Conte keeps it realistic for Spurs

Antonio Conte is no new to the English Premier League. The Italian has already managed in the league, with Chelsea his last club in England. Conte was in charge at the Stamford Bridge from 2016 to 2018. He was on the touchline for 76 league games for the Blues, winning 51 and losing 15. Moreover, he guided Chelsea to the title as well. Therefore, Conte has provided an honest verdict on Kane’s demand that Spurs win every game.

Conte said, “I think if you win five games, probably you get a place in Champions League. But in England it’s impossible to think that in every game, you are going to win. You won’t. We have to go step by step, and game by game. On Sunday we face Leicester and you know very well they have a really good squad. For sure it will be a difficult game.”

Tottenham have Leicester City, Liverpool and Arsenal next in line. Conte could just be right here since it looks almost impossible for Spurs to churn out three victories here. Moreover, they clash with Liverpool at Anfield, where the Reds are unbeaten in the league since March 2021. As a result, its uncertain whether Spurs win all of their next three games, let alone the remaining five.

However, they still have firm chances of qualifying for the Champions League as Arsenal are bound to slip as well. The Gunners face West Ham, Leeds United, Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton in their final run. Kane enjoys a sublime record against the Foxes, scoring 18 goals and assisting 4 in 17 appearances against them. He would be looking to add to the tally here.
