Chelsea striker Timo Werner has insisted that he could be happy everywhere. This statement comes amid speculation surrounding a possible exit from the cub.

The German international arrived with high expectations. However, he has not performed up to his expectations at the club and the fans.

TIMO WERNER CHELSEA EXIT RUMORS FULL STORY

The 26-year-old has found the back of the net very few times. He has also failed to cement his starting spot in the team for the same season. The striker only started just 15 top-flight matches despite the failure of Romelu Lukaku at the club. Thomas Tuchel also seems hesitant to start Timo Werner against top sides in the Premier League and Champions League.

He started more games against lower league games in the cup games. This indicates his squad role in the team. Timo Werner was also linked with a move to Juventus as a part of a player plus cash deal with Matthijs De Ligt to the Blues. However, the center-back is now set to join Bayern Munich. The arrival of Raheem Sterling has further increased the competition in the attacking area.

THE STRIKER IS LOOKING TO FIGHT BACK FOR HIS PLACE BUT DOES NOT RULE OUT AN EXIT

Amid the arrival of Sterling, Timo Werner is relishing the chance to force his way back into Tuchel’s first XI on a regular basis. “It’s not different to last season, I think it was the same when Romelu (Lukaku) came here that we have big, big competition up front. It is still the same,” Werner added. He also states that he would like to reply to the trolls with his goals and not just by talking.

He further adds, “At a big club like Chelsea you have that competition. In pre-season, you can show that you want to play and that you are a guy who wants to be in the starting XI. That’s what I try.”. Werner found the back of the net in Chelsea opening pre-season game against Club America at the weekend. The German striker still has three years left on his Chelsea contract.

Since arriving, Werner has scored 23 goals and provided 21 assists in 89 appearances across all competitions. He found the net only four times last season. With that sort of figures for the club as a striker, it is no wonder Chelsea are ready to cash in on him if required.
