Tottenham have reportedly have added Eintracht Frankfurt center back Evan Ndicka to their defensive wishlist. The 22-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising defenders since signing for Frankfurt. He became a European Champion with Die Adler the last term winning the Europa League.

However, the France Under-21 international is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract with Frankfurt. Therefore, the Bundesliga side have come under pressure to sell him in the current window. Many sides are keeping tabs on Ndicka’s future.

The German side is set to lose the center back on a cut-price deal as they try to avoid losing him on a free in 2023. Now a french outlet has claimed Tottenham are in the head of the queue for Evan Ndicka.

Antonio Conte’s side have been aggressive this transfer window. They have already signed Perisic, Forster, and Yves Bissouma. Now for Conte, a center-back remains the priority.

NDICKA IS NOT SHORT OF OPTIONS THIS SUMMER, SHOULD HE LEAVE

Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Ndicka’s future. Many reports are claiming Erik Ten Hag is keen to add a center-back in this window. Newcastle United are also on the list of interested clubs. But the club is currently prioritizing Sven Botman from Lille. However, there are chances he may choose to go to A.C. Milan. The report also adds Marseille are also hoping to sign the French defender. They are looking to replace William Saliba who has just confirmed that he wants to stay and make a name for himself at his parent club Arsenal.

However, Tottenham holds the advantage over Marseille in signing Ndicka. The Ligue1 club were hit with a provisional two-transfer window ban in January. Although, they have appealed the case. The case is currently in the hands of the Court of the Arbitration for the Sport. However, they are confident they will win the case. But if Tottenham moves in early for the Evan Ndicka, it would scupper any kind of hopes for the French side.

The North London club have wasted no time in getting the business done early. They have already signed three players. They also remain in advance negotiations to sign Djed Spence. The club is also thinking of including Steven Bergwijn in a potential cash-plus-player deal for Antony of Ajax. However, signing a center-back remains a priority for the Spurs. Pau Torres and Bremer along with Ndicka have been discussed as possible center-back targets by the Spurs.
