Tottenham have reportedly seen a bid rejected by AS Roma for Nicolo Zaniolo. The bid was reportedly a very unique bid.

However, the Italian giants have rejected the proposal. Although, discussions are set to continue for him as Antonio Conte is keen to sign him.

According to reports, the Italian international has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in the last few weeks. The reports also state that discussions are going to happen between the two clubs. AS Roma are happy to sell Zaniolo if the price is right. Spurs are also in the market for a creative player. So, the signing of Zaniolo totally makes sense for Antonio Conte’s men.

Another thing is that the player will fit the bill of the Premier League club. Zaniolo has been the most creative player for AS Roma last season. This has led to Antonio Conte sit up and pay attention. The report also added that his potential sale will help the Italian club balance its financial books this year. Hence, Tottenham have made a unique offer that might benefit both parties.

According to a report, the North Londoners have offered both Japhet Tanganga and Tanguy Ndombele in a straight swap deal. However, there is no cash involved in the deal. Although, Roma have immediately rejected half the proposal. They are keen on Tanganga. However, they don’t want Ndombele, they want Oliver Skipp and some cash in the deal for Zaniolo.

Although, Tottenham have also rebuffed the idea. Oliver Skipp has just signed a new five-year contract to commit his future at the club. Both Tottenham and Antonio Conte are not interested in selling Oliver Skipp. However, the deal is not dead in the water. With the transfer market still weeks away Spurs are hopeful of coming to an agreement with AS Roma for Nicolo Zaniolo.

Zaniolo has drawn more fouls towards him with his tricks. The player also has plenty of pace. He has enjoyed a new lease of life under Jose Mourino. Hence, Spurs are so keen on sealing a deal for the skillful, talented, and young winger.
