Tottenham are want to bring in Wolves winger Adama Traore. According to Sky Sports, the deal is still up in the air after Wolverhampton Wanderers told Spurs that he is not for sale.

Tottenham’s new manager wants to reunite with the Spanish player at the North London side. Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo and Adama Traore worked together for three seasons at Molineux.

Current Premier League Standings

Since Wolves were not willing to sell Traore Tottenham asked him on a loan with an obligation to buy. But Wolves are not willing to let him go and consider him untouchable. Previously, Wolves valued Traore over £40 million. Tottenham wants to strengthen their squad and believe that Traore could do that with his style.

Meanwhile, Adama wants a move to Tottenham and is keen on reuniting with his former boss. The 25-year-old has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to push the deal before the transfer window closes. The Spanish winger has two years left on his current contract with Wolves. According to new Wolves head coach Bruno Lage is very confident that Adama Traore would stay at the Molineux. This would be a huge blow for Tottenham as they were very keen on bringing Traore.

Does Tottenham have another player in sight if Traore doesn’t move?

The club currently doesn’t have any alternative players if Adama stays at Wolves. Meanwhile, they have a lot of attacking options with the likes of Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura, Heung Min-Son, and Bryan Gil. Moreover, Tottenham Hotspur have signed Metz wonderkid Pape Matar Sarr who is currently being loaned out to his former club.

There’s less than a week to go before the transfer window closes and it seems unlikely that Wolves are willing to let him go. The only signing that Spurs would make is the Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
