Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has accused Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale of lying. The accusation came after Ramsdale’s comments on Aubameyang.
However, Ferdinand has said that exactly the opposite would have happened in the dressing room. Therefore, it looks like a discussion is going to heat up.
ARSENAL AGAINST CHELSEA POST MATCH FULL REPORT
Arsenal won their Premier League game against Chelsea. They won the game 1-0. Gabriel Magalhaes scored the winning goal for the Gunners. This also helped them stay at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners were brilliant in forward areas and also defensively. They restricted Chelsea to only one shot on target. This all happened at Chelsea’s home ground.
Hence, this makes the win even more impressive. Arsenal will now hope to defeat Wolves in their last Premier League game before the World Cup. They will also hope to progress further in the Carabao Cup. The Gunners will face high-flying Brighton. Hence, Mikel Arteta will have to keep his players focused. The players will try their best to win both games.
THE PIERRE-EMERICK-AUBAMEYANG REUNION
This game was also significant for one more reason. It was the return of Aubameyang against his former club Arsenal. The forward left the Gunners in very bad taste. He moved to Barcelona on a free transfer in the January transfer window last season. However, he was allowed to leave the La Liga giants after they signed Robert Lewandowski in this summer transfer window. Hence, he was allowed to join Chelsea in this summer transfer window.
Although, Aubameyang could not contribute to his current club against his former club. He only managed eight touches in the whole game. However, the real drama started after the game. Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale said that the dressing room was not thinking about the reunion. However, Rio Ferdinand accused him of lying. He further said,
“He’s lying, Aubameyang definitely would have been spoken about in the dressing room before this game.”
Arsenal will now hope that the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang talk ends now. They will also hope that their current striker Gabriel Jesus can stay here for a long time. Hence, now all the focus will be to get positive results on the pitch and avoid controversies off the pitch this season.
