Arsenal have reportedly activated the one-year contract extension of Bukayo Saka. The England winger was also one of the best players for his nation in the World Cup this year.

Hence, the Gunners are also positively negotiating a long-term contract extension with his agent. Therefore, there is hope that the winger will soon sign a long-term contract with the Gunners.

ARSENAL HOPING TO SECURE THE LONG-TERM FUTURE OF BUKAYO SAKA

According to reports, Arsenal have activated the one-year-long contract extension of Bukayo Saka until the 2024 summer transfer window. The report also claims that the club are in positive discussions with his agent. Hence, there is hope that they will find a long-term agreement for Saka to stay with them. Therefore, it is clear that the Gunners see him as the present and future part of the club. Bukayo Saka has also said that he would like to continue his career with his boyhood club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said in August that the club are ready to offer Saka a new long-term contract. He further said,

“I am very confident that we as a club and Bukayo, his family, his agent, everybody, we are very much aligned in what we want to achieve. And now it is about putting it on a piece of paper.”

Bukayo Saka sharing his confidence said,

Yes, I share his confidence,”.

” I really feel the love from my teammates, my coaches and the fans as well. So yeah, I really feel loved here.”

THE GUNNERS ARE ALSO HOPING TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF HIS TWO OTHER TEAMMATES

According to the same report, Arsenal have also activated the one-year extensions of William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli. There is also optimism that the agreements of all three players will be activated by the end of the January transfer window. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also said that all three players are concentrating on winning the Premier League title this season. Hence, there is a chance that talks will not take place with the club at the moment.

Arsenal are also busy with their January transfer market at the moment. Hence, it is better that talks take place at the end of the January transfer window or at the end of this season. At the moment, the Gunners are focusing on potential signings of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix, and Youri Tielemans. Hence, it looks like contract decisions will be taken later to balance the financial books this season. Hence, this means other top European teams will continue to contact them. However, reports state that all three players are focused on Arsenal.

Hence, Arsenal have less to worry at the moment about the future of the three players. The priority for the club and these players is to fight for the title and qualify for the Champions League this season. The Gunners are also currently 8 points clear of the second-placed Manchester City. Hence, this is the biggest opportunity for the Gunners to win the Premier League title.
