Arsenal have reportedly four midfield options on their transfer list incase they miss out on Moises Caicedo. However, the Gunners are also preparing a third bid for Caicedo.

Although, there is an expectation that Brighton will again reject the offer on the deadline day. This is because the Seagulls do not want sell their star midfielder in the January transfer window.

ARSENAL AND MOISES CAICEDO TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Arsenal owners have told sporting director Edu Gaspar to make a third bid for Moises Caicedo. They are still hoping to sign him from Brighton on the deadline day of the January transfer window. A report also claims that the Gunners are now going to make a 80 million record transfer bid for Moises Caicedo. The Gunners are hoping that the potential 80 million bid will force Brighton to negotiate a fee for him on the deadline day.

Moises Caicedo is also hoping to push for a move to Arsenal. He has already said on social media that the move to Gunners will benefit all the sides. Hence, he hopes that Brighton accept the fee. However, the Seagulls have not taken social media post well. They have told Moises Caicedo to report to the training ground after the deadline day. Brighton have also told Gunners that he is not for sale. However, the Premier League giants are refusing to exit the race.

THE GUNNERS HAVE ALSO DRAWN A LIST OF ALTERNATIVES

According to reports, Arsenal also have a list of four different midfield alternatives incase they fail to secure the signature of Moises Caicedo. The players are Jorginho, Youri Tielemans, Dani Ceballos and Franck Kessie. At the moment, Jorginho is the number one alternative. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also said that the Gunners have held discussions with Chelsea. Chelsea are ready to sell him for 7-10 million. Whereas, they could also sign Youri Tielemans for a fee of 15-20 million. This is because he is out of contract next summer.

Although, it remains to be seen whether Leicester City would sell him. However, Dani Ceballos and Franck Kessie remain distant options at the moment. This is because Dani Ceballos is doing well from the substitute bench and has also played well from start in the cup games. The same goes for Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie. Barcelona head coach Xavi has also said that he would love to Kessie to stay at the club for the rest of the season. However, there is also a possibility that Kessie could be sold to balance the financial books.

Hence, it looks like there are many plates spinning for Arsenal on the deadline day of the January transfer window. Although, one thing is clear that the Gunners want to sign a midfielder on the deadline day. The owners are hopeful of providing the best players to Mikel Arteta for the Premier League title challenge this season.
