Borussia Dortmund are reportedly not interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Naby Kieta. This is despite reports of the Bundesliga side’s interest in him.
However, Dortmund do not have much money left to spend for this window. Hence, the midfielder is all set to stay in the Premier League.
BORUSSIA DORTMUND AND NABY KIETA TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly not interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Naby Kieta. There were reports suggesting that the Premier League giants were open to selling the midfielder. The reports also claimed that Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing him on loan with a buy option for the next summer.
However, the reports are fake. According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund do not have any interest in the midfielder. The report also adds that the transfer business of Borussia Dortmund is done. They do not have many funds left in the transfer. Another reason is, that Dortmund at the minute have enough midfielders for the season.
LIVERPOOL CAN NOT AFFORD TO SELL ANY PLAYER IN THIS TRANSFER WINDOW
Liverpool cannot sell any players in the transfer window. They have 10 players on the treatment table. The injured player list also includes Naby Kieta. Hence, with the busy schedule and lack of first-team players, Klopp cannot afford to sell any players. The injury of Naby Kieta was a freak injury. Hence there were rumors of midfielder leaving the Premier League club.
Klopp on the injury of Kieta said,” Out of nothing, Naby fell out [of the squad], crazy.” We need more assessments. He missed yesterday, today, and how much more, I don’t know.”. The comments of Klopp are going to worry Liverpool fans. There were also reports of Klopp signing one midfielder. However, he has made it clear that the club will only make signings that fit their short-term plan.
Naby Kieta has only one year left on his Liverpool contract. The midfielder has also reportedly refused to sign a new contract. The midfielder has made 117 appearances for the Premier League giants. Hence, his future will be definitely one to watch out for.
