Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel might have to allow as many as five players to leave the club. The Blues have already failed in bringing top targets to the club.

They have already allowed Romelu Lukaku to re-join Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal. While both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen both left the club on free transfers.

CHELSEA ARE OPEN TO SELLING PLAYERS FOR THE RIGHT MONEY

The Blues were initially struggling to make any signings in this summer transfer window. However, in recent days the new owner Todd Boehly has splashed the cash. He has promised Thomas Tuchel full support in the summer transfer window. Since then, Chelsea have signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly in the transfer window. However, the progress on other transfers has been slow.

Chelsea are looking to make further additions before the September 1 deadline. Although, there could also be a number of departures from Stamford Bridge. A number of players are pushing for exits from the club. Although, Chelsea will be looking to bring in replacements before some players are allowed to leave the club.

WHO ARE THE PLAYERS THAT WANT TO LEAVE THE CLUB?

According to Daily Mirror journalist Darren Lewis, five players want to leave Chelsea. The players are Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic. The reports also adds that despite getting regular game time club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are looking to leave the club for Barcelona. However, Cesar’s move to the Catalan club will be blocked if Thomas Tuchel does not want him to leave.

Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech is also considering leaving the club. Manchester United and A.C Milan are interested in the playmaker. Timo Werner also wants to leave the club. He wants regular game time before the World Cup in Qatar this year. Like Werner and Ziyech, Pulisic also wants to leave the club for regular game time. The long-term future of Pulisic is in doubt following the arrival of Raheem Sterling.

The funds that are generated from the player sales will be invested in this summer transfer window. Thomas Tuchel is desperate for new signings to arrive. The funds will be spent on a new center-back. Although, a move for Jules Kounde is unlikely as he is now closer to joining Barcelona.
