Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that Arsenal were very aggressive against them. The Gunners beat them 3-2 in the Premier League.
Arsenal continues to be on the top of the Premier League table. However, the Reds will have to continuously win games to finish in the top four.
LIVERPOOL MANAGER ADMITS ARSENAL WERE AGGRESSIVE IN THEIR APPROACH
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted Arsenal were very aggressive in their approach. He has also said that they targeted the Reds midfielders to win balls. Arsenal won the game 3-2. The game was also covered with the controversial match-winning penalty for the Gunners. However, one cannot say that Arsenal did not deserve to win the game.
Both the teams were brilliant. However, the defenders of Liverpool were exposed again. Therefore, the midfield was also not organized properly Jurgen Klopp also made the same point. He said,
” Yes, Arsenal came out again very aggressive, man v man against Hendo and Thiago, but we were not flexible enough anymore in the frontline – so didn’t drop in the right moments, didn’t offer half-spaces, apart from the goal from where we did that obviously particularly well.”
JURGEN KLOPP NEEDS TO GET THE TEAM BACK IN FORM
The Reds are missing on too many opportunities to win games in the Premier League. They have failed to win games continuously to climb the Premier League table. Besides the 9-0 win at Bournemouth, none of the wins have been impressive. However, Klopp has the time to get his team back in form. Although, it will have to be his star player Luiz Diaz.
Luiz Diaz has suffered an injury. He will be out for 8 weeks. This injury likely means he will be available for the games after the World Cup. So, it seems Liverpool are also running out of luck with injuries. However, they have other star players like Mohamed Salah, Firmino, and Thiago who can help turn their bad form into good form.
The next match for Liverpool is against Manchester City in the Premier League. It will be a very difficult match. However, Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to win the match. If they fail to win the match, the challenge to get into the top 4 will increase.
