THE PROGRESS OF STEFAN BAJCETIC AND OTHER YOUTH PLAYERS IN THE FIRST TEAM OF LIVERPOOL

Liverpool staff are happy with the progress of Stefan Bajcetic and other youth players in the first team. The youth payers are now a regular feature on the bench for Jurgen Klopp. Jurgen Klopp is currently facing an injury crisis. Hence, due to allowing of nine players on the bench, Klopp has decided to promote a number of youngsters to the first team.

One of the players is Stefan Bajcetic. The defender has especially caught the attention of assistant manager Pep Lijnders. He also said Bobby Clark and Luke Chambers also were impressive. Hence, the players were also with the first team of Liverpool for the pre-season tour this season. They managed to impress the management so much that Jurgen Klopp blocked any potential loan moves for them.

JURGEN KLOPP NEEDS NEW SIGNINGS IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

Despite the youngsters impressing, Jurgen Klopp needs to sign new players in the January transfer window. The Reds are currently in an injury crisis. Only Darwin Nunez has managed to be back from suspension. Other players will need a few weeks to recover. This player will then travel to Qatar for the World Cup. Hence, many players are going to be nursing minor knocks or major injuries.

Therefore, Liverpool will need to sign new players. They cannot depend on the academy players to rescue them in the big games. This claim was quite evident in the 4-1 loss to Napoli in the first match of the Champions League. Hence, the owners need to back Jurgen Klopp in the January transfer window. Currently, all the injured players have an extended break due to postponing of the Premier League.

The extended break was due to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Hence, Liverpool will be hoping to have maximum players back by the next match. There are also a number of players going to play in the international friendlies before the FIFA World Cup.
