Tottenham Hotspur are aware that they are in need of a new striker as Harry Kane could leave next summer. According to Football.London, Tottenham are to make a move for RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva.
Meanwhile, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has made it extrmeley clear that he is not willing to sell the player. But if Harry Kane is to leave Tottenham then Tottenham will not accept a bid less than £160 million.
Harry Kane has shown his desire to play for another club. So, Tottenham board is aware that they will have to look for someone to fill in his place. Tottenham Hotspur beileve that Andre Silva could be the one. Andre Silva left Eintracht Frankfurt for RB Leipzig just this past summer. Andre Silva had an amazing season at Frankfurt scoring 28 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances and was second only to Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Meanwhile, Andre Silva has only scored a goal and registered an assist for his new club this season. Manchester City are the only club that are willing to make a move for England Captain Harry Kane. The Premier League champions were extremely close to signing the player but Tottenham were adamant that they are not willing to sell him. We could see that Manchester City are still missing a striker, the absence was seen in the Southampton game.
Will Andre Silva be able to fit in at Tottenham?
The Portuguese was one of the great satisfactions of last season in the Bundesliga. He scored 28 goals in the Bundesliga last season. On the other hand, Harry Kane scored 23 goals in the Premier League and won the Premier League golden boot. Moreover, he was registred 14 assists winning Premier League playmaker of the season. This shows that whoever is to be Kane’s replacement has a big role to play.
Harry Kane is extremely vital for Tottenham. If Spurs are to make a move for Silva, he has a huge task ahead of him.
