The Portuguese international plays mainly as a number 8 or a number 10 which means he is a versatile midfielder. He can also play out wide as a winger. Fabio has scored 10 goals and provided 18 assists in 76 appearances. The midfielder has also won the league and cup double with the Porto side last season. Viera is yet to make his senior debut for Portugal.

Although, he has racked up 13 goals and 4 assists in 21 appearances for the U-21 national team. If the move goes through, he will be Arsenal’s third signing. Bernd Leno, Nicolas Pepe, and Lucas Torreira are all expected o leave the club.
