Burnley have officially announced the signing of PSG goalkeeper Denis Franchi. The goalkeeper becomes their 13th signing of this summer transfer window.
Franchi becomes the latest casualty of PSG rebuild. However, Clarets manager Vincent Kompany is excited to work with the young goalkeeper.

According to the official announcement on the Burnley website, the Championship club have confirmed the signing of Denis Franchi from Paris Saint-Germain. The young goalkeeper has joined the club on an undisclosed fee. He has signed a contract for three years with the option of further 12 months. Denis Franchi is going to strengthen the competition in the goalkeeping department.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper has represented Italy from the U-17 level to the U-20 level. The goalkeeper expressed his happiness after the announcement. He said,
” I’m so happy to be here. It’s a new chapter for me, which I can’t wait to start,” he told the club’s website.“I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, my new team-mates, the staff, and the new journey ahead of me at Burnley.”

Vincent Kompany also expressed his happiness about Denis Franchi signing for the club. He said,
“We’re very pleased to welcome Denis to the squad. He’s an exciting young goalkeeper with a strong caliber of experience at a young age.“Denis is an Italian youth international and will be a part of the long-term project at the club here.”
However, it looks like Burnley have not finished its transfer business.
The club remains keen on strengthening the team over the final days of the transfer window. Vincent Kompany is open to adding a loan signing to the club. Belgian winger Anass Zaroury is currently linked with the Clarets. Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer is also linked with a loan move to Burnley. However, the deal will be a difficult one to do as Villa wants to keep him for bench strength.
Burnley are currently sixth on the championship table. However, changes on the points table are going to be there in the early part of the season. On Saturday, the club defeated Wigan 5-1 to show their dominance. Burney are one of the top contenders to get promoted to the Premier League.
