However, they had inserted a buy-back clause in the deal. The buy-back clause is going to be active in the next summer transfer window.

CHELSEA AND TAMMY ABRAHAM TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Chelsea are reportedly tracking the situation of Tammy Abraham. The forward was sold by them to AS Roma by the previous owner. However, they inserted a buy-back clause in the deal. The clause is worth 80 million. Although, the clause will available in the next summer transfer window. Hence, the Italian club are not expecting any movement in January.

However, the main fee will not be the main problem. The main problem will be convincing Tammy Abraham. While the forward was at Chelsea, he never got any chance under any manager. The most he played was under Frank Lampard. However, he started because the Blues had a transfer ban in that season. After the ban, they immediately signed Timo Werner in the next summer. Therefore, Graham Potter will have to convince the forward that he will be treated in a fair way.

THE BLUES NEED TO SIGN A STRIKER FOR THEIR PRESENT AND FUTURE

The Premier League giants are currently struggling for goals. This struggle also led to the sacking of Thomas Tuchel. However, the owner Todd Bohley hopes the team improves under the new manager Graham Potter. Although, they will have to sign a striker in the future transfer windows. The striker signing should be such that he also remains an important part of the future of the club.

At the moment, the club has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Armando Broja, and Romelu Lukaku on their books as their main first-team strikers. However, Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter Milan. The forward is enjoying his return to the Italian giants. Hence, there is a chance that Lukaku will not even have a future at the club. Thus leaving the forward line in the hands of Broja and Aubameyang. Both of the strikers are currently trying to adjust to the team.

Therefore, Chelsea needs to consider signing Tammy Abraham in the next summer transfer window. However, they can also watch out for the situation of the other young forwards. Todd Boehly and Graham Potter will have to make the important decisions in January and the next summer transfer window.
