Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has announced himself as the interim sporting director. Hence, he has taken a proactive approach in trying to improve the squad for the upcoming season.

The proactive approach led to a meeting with super-agent Jorge Mendes regarding the future of some of his clients. They also reportedly discussed the possibility of signing of Cristiano Ronaldo for Chelsea in the meeting. Mendes has been the agent of Ronaldo for many years. His agent has offered him to many top European teams. Cristiano is reportedly very keen to leave Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar allegedly wants to play in the Champions League next season. However, United will play in Europa League next season. He is also not happy with the transfer strategy of Manchester United in this transfer market. He expects the club to make five to seven signings this season, However, the club have only made one signing this season much to his frustration.

The report also adds that Tuchel is wary of signing a player that will take the attention away from the team. He wants a united effort from his squad.

The development has left Ronaldo with less realistic alternatives. Paris Saint-Germain are also not keen on signing him. The team in Saudi Arabia is interested. But, he is not interested in the move.
