Evanilson played a key role in helping the Primeira Liga club win a domestic double last season. He also featured in all seven games in the Taca de Portugal and he scored as many goals to win the cup. On the other hand in the league, the forward was in red hot form.

The Brazilian started 25 games in the league and scored 14 goals and provided 4 assists. Even Luiz Diaz had the same statistics by January for Porto, but he moved to Liverpool in the winter transfer window. Seeing his former teammate thrive in Premier League Evanilson will also be keen to test the waters of the Premier League with Manchester United.

Manchester United will be without Edison Cavani next season. Last season, United heavily relied on 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo for goals.
