Tim Sherwood claims that nobody on earth even comes close to the ‘great’ Man City man

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is regarded as the best football manager in the world, according to Tim Sherwood. The former manager-turned-pundit talked about the possibility of the Spaniard leading the England national team.

He discussed about it while appearing on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast. Tim Sherwood claims that, there isn’t a manager in the earth on Pep Guardiola’s level. Hence he would be the best choice to lead the Three Lions.

Pep Guardiola is hailed as “the best in the world” by Tim Sherwood

Mateo Kovacic called the Catalan manager “amazing”. He is the only manager in the history of the sport to have won two trebles. Guardiola may be the most influential manager ever, not just right now, but possibly ever, in terms of tactics.

Now, Tim Sherwood has imagined how England would perform if Pep Guardiola were their manager. He said

“I’ll give you an example. If Pep Guardiola was the manager of England, we would win and we would have already won.”

Tim Sherwood further added

“He’s the best in the world.”

England under Pep Guardiola would be a dangerous team

First and foremost, Tim Sherwood is dead right in his assessment of Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the world. No team in world football even comes close to matching his Manchester City squad in terms of silverware, tactical adaptability, and style of play.

There are a number of City players who are currently on the national team and are familiar with Guardiola’s coaching style. Hence, Pep Guardiola would succeed if given the opportunity to manage England.

Members of their country’s senior squad by the names of John Stones, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Kalvin Phillips are all regulars. Additionally, under Arteta’s direction, a number of Arsenal players serve as important cogs on the Three Lions team. They play in a manner reminiscent of Guardiola’s. According to Tim Sherwood, Guardiola would therefore find it simple to put his tactics into practice and run havoc as England manager.
