Steve McManman does not want Liverpool to sign Youri Tielemans and Douglas Luiz. The Reds are linked with moves for both the midfielders in January.
However, the legend has requested Klopp to steer clear of them. Although, Klopp will try to bring in a midfielder in the January transfer window.
LIVERPOOL WILL BE LOOKING TO BE ACTIVE IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
According to reports, Liverpool will be looking to be active in the January transfer. The report also adds that they are prioritizing signing a midfielder in January. They had signed Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus. However, it looks like Jurgen Klopp wants to add midfield signings. This is because of the injury crisis in the midfield department.

It is also because of the aging midfielders like Jordan Henderson and James Milner. Another reason is that Naby Kieta and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlin can reportedly leave Liverpool. Hence, Jurgen Klopp will need new signings in the midfield department to replace them. A number of midfielders are getting linked with a move to the club. However, it looks like a legend of the club has requested Klopp not to sign two specific players.
STEVE MCMANMAN REQUEST KLOPP TO NOT GO FOR THESE PLAYERS
Liverpool legend Steve McManaman has requested Jurgen Klopp to not go for two specific players. The players are Douglas Luiz and Youri Tielemans. Both the players contracts are going to expire in the next summer transfer window. Hence, both players will be available for a reduced price. However, Steve has urged Jurgen to not even think of signing them.
He said,
” Douglas Luiz and Youri Tielemans are both good Premier League players. But I don’t believe they’re good enough for Liverpool,”
However, the report also indicates that the players will be considered as backup options. Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. However, the price will be too high in the January transfer window.
The report also states that Dortmund will demand a fee of 150m from Liverpool for the England midfielder. Hence, it is better to keep backup options if you don’t have the budget. Although, Tielemans and Luiz will only improve the bench strength for Jurgen Klopp.
