Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has quashed reports linking the club with Neymar. He has also confirmed Oleksandr Zinchenko’s exit from the club.
Neymar’s future at PSG is up in the air currently. A number of reports suggest he is going to be sold by the club. However, other reports claim that the player is set to stay at the club at least for one season.
NEYMAR AND MANCHESTER CITY TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to Le Parisien, PSG have offered Neymar to the Premier League champions. The report also claims that they are looking to receive Bernando Silva in exchange. However, City have allegedly turned down the proposal. Pep Guardiola has also described the rumors as “false”. He said,” I am so sorry for Le Parisien, but it is not true. I am sorry for them because the information they have received is false.
Neymar has linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United. However, PSG’s new manager Christophe Galtier has stated he wants to keep hold of the forward this summer. Whereas, Bernando Silva wants to leave Manchester City this summer. Although, no bids were made. It now looks like the 27-year-old will stay at Etihad stadium.
OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO IS ALSO GOING TO LEAVE THE CLUB
The Citizens have already allowed high-profile players like Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling to leave the club. However, it looks like Zinchenko is going to become another one to depart the club. He is now going to join Arsenal. He will reunite with Gabriel Jesus at the Gunners. The Gunners have understood to reach an agreement with City to sign the 25-year-old.
Medical and signing documents are left to complete the signing. The Ukrainian will soon become a new Arsenal player. Pep Guardiola also confirmed the news. “Zinchenko, like Gabriel and Raheem, the impact of these three players has been massive, incredible people and exceptional players, they move on,” the Spaniard told reporters, via the Manchester Evening News.
Manchester City have identified Brighton defender Marc Cucurella as his replacement. However, they are yet to register a bid for the defender. But according to some reports, they will now step up their efforts to sign the defender. Guardiola has already added Erling Haaland, Kalvin Philips, Stefan Ortega, and Julian Alvarez to their first team.
