Marseille have reportedly agreed a loan deal to sign Manchester United defender Eric Baily. The deal is also going to have an obligation to buy option in the deal.

Baily has also agreed personal terms. The obligation clause is mandatory if the Ligue 1 club qualifies for the Champions League.

According to reports, Marseille are going to sign Eric Baily on loan from Manchester United. The defender was in solid form in the pre-season. However, Erik Ten Hag has made it clear that the defender is not in his plans. Hence, the defender was offered to a number of clubs. Fulham were also interested in signing the defender on a loan deal.

However, Eric Baily rejected the chance. Fulham ended up signing Issa Diop on a permanent deal from West Ham. But it seems Eric Baily is on his way to France. The defender is all set to join Marseille on loan. He will be the replacement of William Saliba. The defender is all set to stay at Arsenal after his brilliant performances in the initial matches.

The summer clearout is continuing at Manchester United. They are also finding solutions for Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe. The Red Devils have raised a huge amount of money from sales. A good amount of money was made after Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard left the club on a free transfer. However, many reports state that the sales money will be invested in the new signings.

Manchester United are focused on two signings this window. Frenkie De Jong and Anthony are the top targets for the Red Devils. However, both the deals are currently very tough to complete. A fee is agreed with Barcelona for De Jong. Although, the midfielder wants to stay at Barca. Whereas, Manchester United cannot agree on a fee for Anthony with Ajax. However, Anthony has already agreed personal terms.

It will very interesting to see how Manchester United completes the deals. The Red Devils are also focusing on selling players to raise extra funds. United also want to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at the club this summer.
